Grease

Posted by Unknown at Monday, June 30, 2014 0 comments

Grease is a 1971 musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.
The musical is named for the 1950s United States working-class youth subculture known as greasers. The musical, set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School (based on Chicago, Illinois (William Howard Taft School), follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love.
The score attempts to recreate the sounds of early 1950's rock and roll. In its record-breaking original Broadway production, Grease was a raunchy, raw, aggressive, vulgar show. Subsequent productions sanitized it and tamed it down.
The show tackles such social issues as teenage pregnancy and gang violence; its themes include love, friendship, teenage rebellion, sexual exploration during adolescence, and, to some extent, class consciousness/class conflict. (Taken from Wikipedia)

I watched Grease last week as a requirement for my English class since we had to decide for our play proposal and I thoroughly enjoyed this classic movie.

My girl

Posted by Unknown at Saturday, August 11, 2012 0 comments
On our second day of immersion, it was our day of prayer so we watched a movie "My Girl". It was a great movie. It was inspiring yet it had a sad ending. It made me more aware and thankful for my friends and family and that we should live life to the fullest and by not regretting anything. :")

Project X

Posted by Unknown at Sunday, July 29, 2012 0 comments
It's funny cause while I was using twitter "#30goodmovies" trended and it was on the number 1 world wide trending topic so I began tweeting about my fave movies and while doing so I was also reading peoples tweets and I managed to see people tweet things like, "a walk to remember", "the notebook", "avengers" and other stuff. But what caught my attention was people tweeting about "project x" being one of their fave movies as well. So in my mind I was like "why does this movie sound so familiar?" and then I remembered I watched the trailer with
my cousin. So that night I watched project x alone and I enjoyed the movie. It was really funny and it made me want to throw a massive birthday party as well. And the funny part was I remember while watching the news, (CNN I think) I saw a report about project x. In America some teens throw parties so during one party they broke in a house that was empty and they had a party there. The next day the house was thrashed and broken and there were vandals on the walls saying "Living young, wild and free" (it's a song FYI) and "PROJECT X". So the news reporter said "Teenagers are making remakes of the movie with their own real life parties and they are dedicating it to this movie"

Project X is about 3 seniors who wanted to make a name for themselves so they decided to throw a massive party to make them more popular but what they didn't expect was from 50 invited people it became 1,500. ;)

Movie Marathon Round 2

Posted by Unknown at Sunday, July 29, 2012 0 comments
If you read my blog I posted about a movie marathon last month. Well I had a movie marathon yesterday. First, I watched "Ice Age 4: Continental Drift" in the theaters with my dad and after that I went to "Movies n More" to rent movies for me to watch that night. So I rented "Project X" and "Sixth Sense". All the movies I watched are great movies and you should all watch it. Oh yeah project x is sooo PG-13 or maybe even restricted. So yeah watch on your own will! Hahaha :D Ice Age 4 is for everyone and it's really funny. Kids and families will truly enjoy this. As for the sixth sense it's a horror/thriller so if you're really into watching scary movies I recommend this. It's not the scariest movie but it's realistic and it actually makes sense compared to other horror movies.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Posted by Unknown at Monday, June 25, 2012 0 comments

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted was awesome. Like seriously, if you haven't watched it, then WATCH NOW! It was so hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing! My favorite part was when Marty (Zebra) sang "Afro Circus" He was like: "DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA CIRCUS DA DA DA DA AFRO CIRCUS AFRO CIRCUS POLKA DOT POLKA DOT AFRO"
Here's the sample of the song: "AFRO CIRCUS" . <-- If you clicked on the video I bet you would be laughing right now, like me. But if you aren't go get a sense of humor cause it was awesome. :)

I'll also put the first and second movie trailers as well so that you can understand the movie more: Madagascar 1 & Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa

Movie Marathon

Posted by Unknown at Monday, June 25, 2012 0 comments

So, last Saturday night my mom and I had a movie marathon. We watched How To Deal, I love you man, While you were sleeping and Hello Stranger. Don't worry, these movies aren't pirated. We rented them in "Movies 4 rent" in Robinsons. So like I was saying, the movies were awesome but cheesy. Like in "How To Deal" Mandy Moore didn't believe in love and was against it but then she met Trent Ford then fell in love blah blah blah. They had a fairy tale ending. Period. And for the rest of the movies I watched it and it ended up pretty much the same. They met, fell in love and had a happy ending. I don't hate those types of movies in fact I love them but they're so predictable and I want to watch movies that keep me in suspense.
